Tamara Kleinschmidt is the executive director of the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre where she leads efforts to support military and veteran families in the Quinte Region. As a military spouse Tamara experienced the privilege of living across our country and beyond. Over a twenty-six-year span Tamara experienced eleven postings, the final one to Trenton in 2005.  During this period, she completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Political Science, from the Royal Military College of Canada.

Tamara’s education formed the strong foundation for her involvement with a number of nonprofit organizations and association with Military Family Services and the Department of National Defence. Tamara has focused her professional energies on strengthening nonprofit organizations in distress and building their capacity to meet their potential, focused on the needs of the communities they serve.    

Tamara’s approach to military family support is focused on impact and combines research, innovation, and compassion. Tamara is an active member of the Minister of Veterans Affairs Advisory Group on Families and is actively engaged with the local community as a former member of the Quinte Health Care board of directors and formerly board chair of the Loyalist College Board of Governors.
