Sandy Stemp (she/her) is the Chief Operations Officer at Reena, with over 30 years of experience in the developmental disabilities field, including 20 years in senior leadership. She is a strong advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities and has played a key role in leading Reena through significant growth and sector-wide change.

With a background in nursing, Sandy brings expertise to the intersection of health, aging and developmental services. Her work focuses on addressing the complex and evolving needs of individuals with developmental disabilities as they age, helping to reimagine how care is delivered at home and in the community.

Sandy was a founding member of the Ontario Partnership on Aging and Developmental Disabilities (OPADD), established in 1999 to foster collaboration between the developmental services and seniors/long-term care sectors. She also serves on the National Task Group (NTG) on Intellectual Disabilities and Dementia Practices Canadian Consortium, advancing national training and advocating for the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in dementia care planning. Her leadership continues to shape innovative service models that bridge systems and improve outcomes for aging individuals with developmental disabilities.
