Colonel Russell Mann (Ret’d)

Colonel Russell Mann (Ret’d) served Canada’s Armed Forces and nonprofit sectors for over four decades. 

Honored with the Canadian Meritorious Service Medal, the Mirabelli-Glossop Award, and appointment to the Order of Military Merit, he advanced national understanding of military and Veteran families. 

As a caregiver to his spouse, later his mom and as a care recipient himself, Russ believes that communities and families are at the heart of resilience, connection and adaptation. 

Russ finds quiet joy in bread making, fountain pen repair, model railroading, and sharing life’s simple pleasures with his soulmate, Lucie.
