Headshot of Pascale Pilon

Pascale Pilon is the Executive Director of Finautonome, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting financial autonomy and security for people with disabilities and their caregivers. Under her leadership, Finautonome has become a national francophone reference in inclusive financial literacy, offering services, educational tools, and personalized support across Canada.

A visionary leader driven by social justice, Pascale brings her expertise in program development and nonprofit management to advance a clear mission: to make financial and government programs designed for caregivers — such as the Canada caregiver tax credit, federal benefits, and provincial respite or support programs — more accessible and understandable. She also highlights that in Quebec, caregivers benefit from a law dedicated to recognizing and supporting caregiving, a key framework for strengthening solidarity and financial well-being.

Through her leadership, Finautonome helps reduce inequalities in access to programs that support the financial well-being of people facing physical and mental health-related barriers.

Although she is not a caregiver herself, Pascale recognizes the significant financial challenges caregivers experience. She advocates for greater recognition of their essential role and promotes early financial awareness and support, encouraging them to protect their own stability while caring for others. Her message is clear: “Take care of your finances as much as you take care of those you support — and don’t hesitate to reach out for help.”
