Headshot of Christina Phillips

Christina is a Registered Nurse and is currently the Director of Seniors Health with the Department of Health and Wellness, PEI. For 25 years, Christina has worked as a front line care provider and in leadership roles in many areas of health including acute care, primary care, dialysis and long term care.  She led the development and implementation of the Unaffiliated Virtual Care program on PEI during the COVID-19 pandemic which allows PEI residents without a primary care provider to access care virtually.  In 2024, together with partners from Health PEI and PEI Social Development and Seniors, Christina led the development and implementation of the At Home Caregiver Benefit, the second of its kind in Canada. Christina has a passion to help those most vulnerable both locally and internationally and has travelled to Southeast Asia and Africa on various mission trips. In addition to being a wife and mother of two sons, she is the daughter of parents who are aging wonderfully at home and considers it an honour to continue to support them on their life journey.
