Caregiving in Indigenous communities and decolonizing care

Hear from Indigenous caregivers, researchers, and social service agencies on barriers experienced by Indigenous caregivers, the need for cultural safety when designing supports and centering First Nations values in care. Panelists will explore the challenges including interaction with child welfare systems, removal of elders from the north to the south for care, and will explore new care delivery models, policies and practices to support Indigenous caregivers, care providers and those who access care.
