Canada’s care economy through a feminist lens
Monday, November 6th
1:30 – 2:20 p.m.
Internationally acclaimed care economist, Dr. Nancy Folbre has asked “Why do women continue to do most care work, both paid and unpaid, and why does care work remain so low paid when the quality of care work is so highly valued?” This conversation will bring a feminist lens to understanding Canada’s care economy and explore how gender-based analysis of care can generate policy that supports caregivers, care providers, and people who access care.
